A woman in was found at Wey Court in Farncombe near Godalming around 9.20 am on the 29th October with a serious injury. It is understood that she has been attacked within the bungalow. Emergency services were called by neighbours who heard the woman screaming. Police and Paramedics rushed to the scene. The Surrey and Kent air ambulance landed on the football pitch of Godalming Town football club that is yards from the scene.
Paramedics and doctors treated the woman at the scene but was sadly pronounced dead around 10.10 am.
A man, who is understood to be the son of the woman who has been named locally as Mary was at the same address he was also injured.
The injured man has been arrested on suspension of murder and has been taken to hospital. He remains in hospitial.
A neighbour who asked not to named said that he saw police taking the man away in handcuffs. Shocked neighbours have said that a woman in her seventies lived at the property with a younger man it’s all very shocking she said I know that she has lived at the property along time.
Police are continuing to establish the circumstances of the incident. The property remains sealed off and under Police Guard

A woman was found at the address with a serious injury. She was treated at the scene by paramedics but was sadly pronounced dead around 10.10am.
A man, who was at the same address when police arrived, was also injured. He has been arrested and taken to hospital.
