Armed police are raiding a home in Surrey in connection with the nail bomb on a packed Tube train at Parsons Green after a teen was arrested in Dover. Residents have been moved to a place of safety following what is being described as a Met Police led operation. People evacuated from a residential address and moved to a local school.
The suspect, who has yet to be named, was detained by Kent officers in the port area of Dover, around 100 miles away, this morning.
He remains in custody at a local police station and will be moved to a south London police station in due course, according to Scotland Yard.
A police chief referred to the arrest as “significant” in the investigation into the terror attack – but said the public should “remain vigilant”.
